Altus Launches Public Beta: 24/5 U.S. Stock Trading, Funded with USDC on Solana
The beta uses USDC on Solana and offers 24/5 trading, fractional shares from $1, and access to more than 11,000 U.S. stocks and ETFs.
On Friday, August 21, 2026, Palo Alto-based Altus launched a public beta enabling investors outside the United States to buy and sell real U.S. equities using USDC on the Solana blockchain, with trading available 24 hours a day, five days a week.
Altus seeks to bridge the gap between digital-asset liquidity and traditional capital markets by allowing users to fund accounts with USDC rather than relying on international wires or currency conversion, said Head of Operations Karthick Sivakumar.
The platform offers access to more than 11,000 publicly traded U.S. stocks and ETFs with 24/5 trading. Eligible users holding at least $100 in qualifying stocks by August 31, 2026, may receive a free stock.
Brokerage execution is provided through U.S.-registered broker-dealers that are FINRA and SIPC members, ensuring investors own actual shares rather than synthetic representations. Metaloop Inc. developed the platform infrastructure.
Future plans include adding perpetual futures, prediction markets, and international equities to the platform. The company also intends to launch an Altus Visa card, allowing capital to move between markets without leaving the ecosystem.
