More than 4,000 parents and caregivers have applied for the new status, which for the first time formally recognizes their decades of caring for children.
On July 10, the members of the Parliament of Serbia adopted the Law on parents-caregivers and caregivers, which introduces the right to the status of parents-caregivers and caregivers.
More than 4,000 requests for the right to the status of parent-caregiver and caregiver have been submitted since October 1, stated the Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs in the technical mandate, Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski.
