- The Crown Prosecution Service lead Sarah Dineley noted, "Many of these cases were charged within hours," as authorities charged three migrants with endangering lives and jailed three others for illegal entry.
- Turkish national Osman Yesil, 47, and Algerian national Tawfiq Boubazine, 33, were sentenced to eight months in prison by Folkestone Magistrates after pleading guilty on Monday.
- Although 2026 arrivals remain below the 2022 peak of more than 45,000, these bank holiday crossings account for more than one in 10 people entering from mainland Europe this year.
