Alleged Gunman Arrested at Train Station
Police say the 20-year-old suspect was arrested after a home shooting and a later raid allegedly turned up a Glock pistol and ammunition.
On Thursday, September 10, NSW Police Raptor Squad officers arrested 20-year-old Bison Zounis at Gosford train station during an investigation into a shooting on the Central Coast.
Emergency services responded to Lakedge Avenue in Berkeley Vale on Wednesday, September 9, after a 37-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his torso and hand during a struggle inside his home.
Strike Force Vardeem investigators raided a Penrith home, allegedly seizing a Glock pistol, eight rounds of ammunition, and drugs; police had previously appealed for information regarding a Great Wall Motors vehicle seen leaving the scene.
During a brief bail court appearance on Friday, Zounis faced charges including shooting with intent to murder and GBH, making no application for release.
The accused will remain in custody ahead of his next court appearance at Wyong scheduled for November, while police continue compiling a brief of evidence.
