- On Friday, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced the Trump administration requires all truckers and bus drivers to take commercial driver’s license tests in English to ensure safety, noting Florida already uses English testing.
- Following a fatal crash in August, the department has been pursuing states that issued commercial licenses after other deadly incidents, including one in Indiana that killed four and a Florida crash that killed three.
- Earlier this week, the Transportation Department ordered 557 driving schools closed and expanded efforts to prevent fraudulent trucking companies and crack down on 'chameleon carriers.',
