Govt Open to Talks, but Demands Cannot Be Met Through Instability: Sanaullah
Rana Sanaullah said talks remain open, but the government will not accept political demands made through instability or pressure tactics.
- On Wednesday, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah rejected PTI's pressure tactics, stating the government will not accept demands while "holding the state hostage," though remaining open to dialogue if the march ends.
- K-P Chief Minister Sohail Afridi announced route changes on Tuesday, directing the caravan toward Khyber before proceeding to Peshawar after the march reached Kohat on Monday, beginning from Lakki Marwat on Sunday.
- Police spokesman Alam Khan detailed security plans from Peshawar to Nowshera, involving around 300 personnel and drone cameras for monitoring. The City Patrol Force will maintain presence at entry and exit points.
- PTI maintains the long march will continue under Imran Khan's direction alone, while Sanaullah referenced the 126-day 2014 Islamabad sit-in to underscore the party's pattern of "laying siege to Islamabad."
- The government urged PTI to separate political demands from national security, requesting unconditional provincial support against terrorism. Sanaullah warned that pursuing political instability undermines efforts against foreign aggression and national challenges.
