- Organizers have hired the Italian cruise ship Costa Serena to house 5,000 athletes, while 2,000 others will stay in Garden Pier shipping container-style huts as preparations enter their final stage.
- Among 15,000 expected competitors, Philippine tennis sensation Alexandra Eala, Indian cricketer Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and Chinese swimmer Yu Zidi will participate in the Games.
- Aichi Governor Hideaki Omura stated, "We hope to reaffirm Asian unity and peace through sports," as Organizers aim to excite audiences throughout the 43-sport competition.
