The round lifts Alice’s total funding to $280 million as the company expands red-teaming and post-deployment monitoring for frontier models.
- On Tuesday, AI security company Alice announced it raised $140 million in a funding round led by Apax Digital Funds to harden AI systems against emerging vulnerabilities and adversarial attacks.
- Formerly known as ActiveFence, Alice leverages its "Rabbit Hole" dataset—compiled since 2018 from tracking fraud and extremism—to simulate malicious prompts and agentic tasks probing for jailbreaks and unintended behavior.
- Alice reports over 500% business growth in two years while approaching $100 million in annual recurring revenue. Its lab protects more than three billion people across Google, Meta, TikTok and Amazon platforms.
- Chief Executive Noam Schwartz told Bloomberg the round values Alice close to $1 billion, though Calcalist reports suggest a range between $700 million and $800 million. Apax partner Patrick Kane cited widening AI attack surfaces.
- Britain's AI Security Institute recently warned about rogue AI agents, intensifying regulatory pressure on the industry. Schwartz said the round addresses a critical gap: "the industry democratised capabilities faster than it democratised defences.
