CHINA, JUL 22 – Alibaba's upgraded Qwen3 model scores 70.3 on the 2025 American Invitational Mathematics Examination, surpassing OpenAI and DeepSeek in multiple AI benchmarks.
- Alibaba Group Holding launched the Qwen3-235B-A22B-Instruct-2507-FP8, an open-source AI coding model, which shows improvements in maths and coding compared to rivals OpenAI and DeepSeek.
- The Qwen model scored 70.3 in the 2025 American Invitational Mathematics Examination, outperforming some competitors.
- For coding, Qwen3 received 87.9 points on the MultiPL-E benchmark, surpassing DeepSeek and OpenAI, which scored 82.2 and 82.7, respectively.
- The Qwen model operates in a non-thinking mode, providing direct outputs without reasoning steps, and supports inputs of up to 256,000 tokens.
