Algeria: President Tebboune On Official Visit to Sisterly Republic of Turkey With Packed Agenda
Ankara -- The official visit of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Republic of Turkey features a dense agenda, reflecting the strength and depth of the long-standing historical ties between the two nations, and mirroring a shared commitment to elevating bilateral cooperation to more expansive prospects, serving mutual interests and common aspirations.
Following the first meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, chaired by President Erdoğan and Algerian President Tebboune, agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed between the two countries in 13 different areas, ranging from telecommunications and trade to disaster management and combating disinformation in the media.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan bestowed the State Order upon his Algerian counterpart, Tebboune. Erdoğan himself was awarded the Algerian National Order. Following the awards ceremony, President Erdoğan made a statement, conveying a message of brotherhood with Algeria. He said, "We are pleased to witness that the bonds of brotherhood and friendship between Turkey and Algeria, spanning nearly five centuries, are growing stronger day by day."
