Alexandria’s Foundations Stagger, Eroded by the Climate Crisis

The relationship that Alexandria maintains with the sea is deep and complicated. The Egyptian city, the most densely populated in the southern Mediterranean basin, is very narrow and elongated and all of it is oriented towards the coast, sometimes blessed, sometimes condemned to not being able to distance itself too much from the water.
