- On Tuesday, dozens of union members, health-care workers and veterans held a vigil outside the Jesse Brown Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Chicago to honor Alex Pretti, an intensive care unit nurse shot by a federal immigration agent during a Jan. 24 enforcement operation.
