- The abduction occurred in Valhalla Centre, roughly 63 kilometres northwest of Grande Prairie, with authorities believing Lanakai is traveling with Krista, her partner 35-year-old Daniel Ludwig, and another child, four-year-old Karl Morrison.
- Investigators are searching for a black 2015 Toyota Tundra with license plate CTN9517; anyone who sees the individuals or vehicle should not approach them and must call 911 immediately.
