Alaska SeaLife Center caring for six harbor seal pups in rehab

This Friday, eight seal pups, nursed at the Maritime Museum, will leave the hospitable Baltic Sea Animal Rehabilitation Center. They will be transported by boat about 20 km out to sea and safely released, avoiding the risk of getting caught in fishing nets. All the animals are quite mature – they weigh 35-50 kg and are able to survive in their natural environment, the Lithuanian Maritime Museum said in a press release.
