A study by the Shoresh Institute found that teachers in Israel lag behind their OECD counterparts in reading, math, and problem-solving. The gaps are particularly pronounced among science and technology teachers, in Arab education, and in early childhood. Only 78% of teachers in Israel have an academic degree.
