Former Everton Midfielder Gueye Joins Saudi Diriyah
The 36-year-old signed after leaving Everton in July and joins Diriyah as it builds its squad after promotion, the club said.
- On Sunday, Idrissa Gueye joined newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Diriyah as a free agent after leaving Everton, the club announced.
- The 36-year-old previously spent seven seasons across two spells at Everton, with a three-year stint at Paris St Germain in between.
- Gueye has earned more than 130 caps for Senegal and won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2021.
- Diriyah's roster also includes recent signings Democratic Republic of Congo captain Chancel Mbemba and Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj.
- Local media reported that Gueye signed a one-year contract with an optional second season with the Saudi Pro League club.

Aug 10 : Albania defender Berat Djimsiti has joined newly promoted Diriyah from Serie A side Atalanta, the Saudi club announced on Monday. The 33-year-old Djimsiti, who has 72 caps for his country, played a key role in Atalanta’s triumphant Europa League campaign in 2024 and was named Albania’s footballer of the year in 2025 and 2026.
