Following the arrest and removal from office of Etimesgut Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu, an election for acting mayor has begun. While the Cumhur Alliance did not field a candidate, the candidates are Memet Özdemir from the YENİ Party and Seda Dilber from the CHP.
In Etimesgut Municipality, CHP's candidate Seda Dilber was elected deputy mayor with the support of AK Party and MHP council members.
