On the 16th, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives (Keizaidoyukai) decided to appoint Akio Yamaguchi (61), deputy representative director and president of IBM Japan, to the position of representative director, which has been left vacant following the resignation of Takeshi Niinami (66), former chairman of Suntory Holdings. He will take up the post on January 1st next year. Niinami was involved in a scandal involving supplements.
