Story of the Beloved ‘Piano Man’ to Be Told in Two-Part Documentary Premiering on HBO Next Month
- The two-part documentary And So It Goes, focusing on Billy Joel, made its debut at the Tribeca Film Festival held in New York during the beginning of June 2025.
- The film was released during Joel’s treatment for normal pressure hydrocephalus, a condition that caused him to withdraw from scheduled concerts and miss the premiere.
- Helmed by Emmy-winning filmmakers Susan Lacy and Jessica Levin, the nearly five-hour documentary includes exclusive interviews, rare archival footage, personal photographs, and a deep exploration of Joel’s extensive music career spanning over six decades.
- Joel said, "Getting old sucks, but it's still preferable to getting cremated," and Lacy reassured, "He'll be back" while sharing his upbeat health update.
