The Pollutant Standards Index in Singapore's eastern and western regions entered the unhealthy range at 4pm, after the central region crossed the threshold earlier, as hotspots and haze persisted in parts of Indonesia.

In Singapore, air quality has reached levels harmful to health. The images show the grey sky with very little visibility, caused in part by the smoke coming from the forest fire that is hitting neighboring Indonesia. This problem is not only in Singapore, but throughout Southeast Asia.
