Greens Propose Public Ownership of AI and Thames Water
The party said it would bring South East Water and Thames Water into public ownership before Christmas and back AI that serves communities.
At the Brighton conference, the Green Party announced new policy initiatives including nationalizing AI technology. The group also outlined plans for public ownership of water infrastructure and a guaranteed jobs program for young people.

The Greens aim to bring water companies into public ownership before Christmas, while suggesting that nationalizing AI would ensure technology serves communities rather than billionaires. Both proposals represent radical departures from current policy.
Criticism of Burnham emerged at the conference, as The Wealden District Councillor argued the Labour Party leader's 10-year plan is insufficient to hold water companies accountable. She contended stronger immediate action is necessary.
Green Party deputy leader Mothin Ali announced a guaranteed job program for 18 to 24-year-olds, with positions lasting two years and beginning within four months of leaving education. This expands the party's youth employment commitment.
