Media Minister Patrick O’Donovan deactivates X account amid AI chatbot’s ability to generate explicit images
The Minister for Media, Patrick O’Donovan, has deactivated his X account, saying he is “uncomfortable” with the platform and its AI tool Grok, which has been criticised for allowing the creation of sexually-explicit images without consent.
Digitalisation Minister Vanessa Matz (Les Engagés) is taking action against Grok, the controversial AI chatbot from X. She has contacted the public prosecutor's office and is investigating whether the tool can be suspended as long as X fails to meet its obligations.
