A research team led by Professor Sun Youwen of the Hefei Institute of Physical Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has developed two innovative artificial intelligence systems (IA) to improve the safety and efficiency of fusion energy experiments. Their findings were recently published in Nuclear Fusion and Plasma Physics and Controlled Fusion. Fusion energy promises to provide clean and virtually unlimited energy.
