A new artificial intelligence (AI) of the University of Lausanne can use retinal photos to read the biological age of a person and to estimate the risk of diseases such as cancer or dementia. A large difference in such a certain age indicates increased health risks, as the University announced on Wednesday. A higher retinal age is associated with an increased risk for cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, cancer and dementia.
