Gathered in Paris, the G7 Digital Ministers concluded an agreement on the regulation of platforms and the management of the energy impact of artificial intelligence.
After seeing the United States refuse to sign the joint declaration of the AI Summit in February 2025, Paris, which chairs the G7, hopes to rule on several digital issues with its other partners.
The digital ministers of the G7 countries are meeting in Paris to discuss the use of artificial intelligence and the protection of minors online. However, there is disagreement regarding the environmental impact of AI technologies.
France organises the Digital G7 from 27 to 29 May 2026, bringing together the digital ministers of the seven largest economies to coordinate their responses to the challenges of AI and the digital sector.
