- On Friday, Lucasfilm President Dave Filoni unveiled the Ahsoka Season 2 trailer at the Disney Entertainment Showcase during D23 in Anaheim, confirming actor Hayden Christensen returns as Anakin Skywalker.
- Following the events of Return of the Jedi, the upcoming season utilizes a split timeline, featuring flashbacks to The Clone Wars era alongside present-day scenes where Anakin guides his former apprentice, Ahsoka Tano, on the planet Peridea.
- In the trailer, Anakin tells Ahsoka, "Tell me Ahsoka, what troubles you? I'm always walking by your side," while she confronts a "formidable opponent in Grand Admiral Thrawn" as she navigates her Jedi role.
- The D23 event also featured a teaser for Star Wars: Starfighter, directed by Shawn Levy, with lead actor Ryan Gosling introducing his character, Kade Auberon, who pilots the fastest starfighter ever built.
- Ahsoka Season 2 will debut exclusively on Disney Plus on January 20, 2027, while Starfighter is scheduled to hit theaters on May 28, 2027, expanding the Star Wars franchise.
