Currently, doctors can supervise the work of their colleagues, warns the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption.
The Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (KPK) has highlighted several corruption risks in its analysis of the additional work of doctors, dentists and other healthcare staff at the University Hospitals of Ljubljana and Maribor. Among other things, they highlighted the lack of control over additional work and the risk of poorer quality of healthcare services due to overload.

The Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (KPK) has obtained data from UKC Ljubljana and UKC Maribor on the additional work performed by their employees. The data reveals that between 2020 and 2023, 1,585 full-time employees worked under a contract at UKC Ljubljana, of which one individual had as many as 20 contracts.
