On Friday (20th) local time, Paramount Pictures announced that the director position for the sequel to the action film "Face/Off" (1997), which it had already confirmed to produce, has been opened. Foreign media confirmed that Adam Wingard, the director of "Godzilla vs. King Kong," has withdrawn from directing the project.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that a vacancy has opened for the director of the sequel to John Woo's cult 1990s action film "Face/Off," starring Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Until last summer, director Adam Wingard was searching for the right approach to continue the story of Travolta's character, a federal agent.
