The reinforcement and renewal of the Afsluitdijk was completed on Thursday. Rijkswaterstaat reports that a new pumping station and sluices have been put into operation, meaning the major renovation of the dike is now finished. The renewal project started in 2019. A few projects are still planned on and around the dike, but "the major work is done".
