EU African swine fever outbreaks jumped in 2025, EFSA says
In 2025, there were 585 outbreaks between pigs and 11,036 in the boars. The vast majority (91%) of outbreaks occurred in holdings with less than 100 pigs. Despite the increase, the number remained below the levels recorded between 2018 and 2023, with the exception of 2022. Poland was responsible for 31% of outbreaks.
