Politologists have admitted to the Lusa that the radical right-wing party Alternative to Germany (AfD) may be the most voted force in the Sunday elections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (East), but without a majority to govern.
Before the state elections in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, top candidates Simone Oldenburg (Die Linke), Daniel Peters (CDU), Claudia Müller (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) and Peter Schabbel (BSW) will meet in a discussion round. Thilo Tautz and Susanne Stichler will be moderated. The TV duel between Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig (SPD) and Leif-Erik Holm (AfD) will follow on 16 September.
