The Alternative for Germany (AfD) received a record 41 percent of support in Saxony-Anhalt, significantly ahead of the Christian Democratic CDU with 26 percent, according to a recently published Infratest dimap poll. Regional parliamentary elections will be held in the state in September.
The Left Party is in third place with 12 percent support, also one percent less than in the previous survey.
