AEPT Insight: BAK Battery Combines Five Technologies to Build a System-Level Semi-Solid-State Safety Framework
BAK Battery presented its latest progress in solid-state batteries at the 3rd AEPT Solid-State Battery Industry Summit 2026 and the 2026 Starting Point Solid-State Battery Technology Forum, as shared by Zhan Xiaoyun.
BAK Battery developed a multilayer safety protection system using five core technologies: in-situ solidification, novel gel separators, gel-based nanomaterials, STS safety coating, and solid electrolyte blending to enhance battery safety.
Their 5Ah battery cells achieve an energy density of up to 280Wh/kg by integrating in-situ solidification and multiple safety processes.
BAK Battery pursues a dual-track strategy by commercializing semi-solid-state batteries while advancing all-solid-state battery technologies.
