Administration aggressively defends Trump budget bill, says it won’t add to deficit
- Advancing American Freedom , founded by Mike Pence, defended the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and circulated a memo criticizing CBO projections on June 6, 2025.
- AAF disputed the Congressional Budget Office’s projection that President Trump’s tax legislation would increase the national debt by $3.8 trillion, highlighting that revenue from 2018 to 2024 exceeded CBO estimates by $1.5 trillion, largely due to miscalculations in inflation assumptions.
