German sportswear maker Adidas said on Friday an unauthorised external party had obtained certain consumer data through a third-party customer service provider albeit not passwords or credit card data.

Adidas announced Friday that customer data had been stolen. This happened after hackers breached a third-party customer service provider. The stolen data consisted mainly of contact information and did not include passwords or credit card details, the German sporting goods manufacturer said.
