Just two weeks before her 100th birthday, actress Štěpáanka Ranošová, winner of the Thalia Award for lifetime mastery in drama, went to theatre and film heaven on Thursday 1 October. The National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava reported her death with the consent of the survivors on Friday.
Actress Štěpánka Ranošová died on Thursday, less than two weeks before her 100th birthday, said Šárka Swiderová, a spokesperson for the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre (NDM). Ranošová was one of the founders of the Petr Bezruč Theatre in Ostrava and its long-standing leading member. Two years ago, she received the Thalia Award for lifetime achievement.
The world of theatre has suffered another great loss. Actress Štěpánka Ranošová (†99) has died, just less than two weeks before her birthday. She did not live to see her 100th birthday.
