Four women told the police that a man who spoke broken English harassed them that day, the public prosecutor said.
Adil Q. should actually have been in a psychiatric institution in Italy; a care order had been issued in February. However, he absconded and, according to the Public Prosecution Service, stabbed a 59-year-old woman to death on March 30 in a parking lot in Nieuw-Vennep. The victim worked at ABN Amro; the week before, her direct colleague had died under suspicious circumstances. According to the authorities, there is no connection.
