A particularly violent accident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. in Farafenni, Gambia, involving a bus registered AA-514-TB and a minicar of the type Sheikhou Charifou bearing the plate AA-202-YG. The tragedy resulted in seven deaths, including a Senegalese policeman. Six victims died instantly, while one seventh died after his evacuation to Farafenni hospital.
