Accession Conference with Albania: EU opens negotiations on the competitiveness and inclusive growth cluster

Albania has taken a new step in its approach to the European Union after opening a set of chapters on competitiveness and inclusive growth as part of the accession negotiations at the Intergovernmental Conference in Brussels.

The European Union has opened 8 more chapters in the membership negotiations with AlbaniaThe Council of the EU has decided to open 8 more chapters in the membership negotiations with Albania under the "Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth" cluster. Benchmarks have been set for the early closure of these chapters.

The Xeral Director of External Relations and Coa European Union, Jesús Gamallo, participated in the third session of the Committee on Citizenship, Governance and Institutional and External Affairs (Civex) of the eighth term of office of the European Committee of the Regions (CdR), where he outlined the measures implemented by the Xunta in line with the Community objective of increasing the EU's competitiveness.
