Pope Leo XIV begins on Friday, September 25, a journey through France, the first official visit to the country of a Vatican leader in nearly 20 years, which contemplates acts of state and religious activities in Paris, Lourdes and Metz. A meeting with victims of sexual abuse by members of the Catholic Church, a speech focused on AI and an event with the main leaders of the European Union stand out within the four-day program.
From 25 to 28 September, Léon XIV will travel to Paris, Lourdes and Metz, for the first apostolic trip to France in 18 years. Between a Catholicism numerically weakened but crossed by an influx of converts, a Republic that is already discussing the place and the cost, and a meeting with seven disputed victims before taking place, these four days repeat the same question, that of who holds authority over what.
