Aardman puppets including Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep go to auction
More than 220 lots start at £100, with proceeds funding Aardman Academy bursaries and skills programmes for emerging filmmakers.
On Friday, Aardman launched a 50th-anniversary auction run by Propstore, featuring more than 220 lots starting at £100, including Wallace, Gromit, and Feathers McGraw puppets from the 2024 film Vengeance Most Fowl.
The collection traces the studio's creative history, from original Morph and Chas models made by co-founder Peter Lord to a Shaun the Sheep puppet from the upcoming film The Beast of Mossy Bottom.
"The Aardman 50th anniversary auction is an unprecedented opportunity to own a part of the studio," said Ngaio Harding-Hill, Aardman director of attractions, live experiences and archive.
Bidding remains open for nearly three weeks, concluding on September 24; proceeds will be invested in talent development at the Aardman Academy, including bursaries and skills programmes.
Curated by creative talent to connect with fans, the collection provides a rare opportunity to acquire pieces from nearly every production in Aardman's 50-year history.
