Rijkswaterstaat (the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management) has begun widening the A27 between Houten and the Hooipolder interchange. The A27 will be partially or completely closed for roadworks in the coming weeks. The highway towards Utrecht will be closed between the Gorinchem interchange and the Everdingen interchange until the evening of Friday, August 1st. The following weekend, the road will be closed in both directions on that section.
