Sources of the company confirmed that for security reasons the work in North Andes is temporarily suspended, an initiative that had been reopened for construction after the deadly rock explosion of July 31, 2025, where about three thousand people work.
The legislators appreciated the measure adopted for security. They will ask that the president of the state be summoned to the Mining Commission to gather technical background and have certain deadlines for eventual reintegration of miners and professionals into other activities.
