- Following the chaotic final, the Confederation of African Football stripped Senegal of the title, awarding Morocco a 3-0 forfeit victory after reviewing the team's conduct. The ruling upheld earlier Caf disciplinary sanctions.
- Senegal has lodged an appeal against the Confederation of African Football verdict with the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne. Those handed three-month sentences are eligible for release from next Saturday.
