Masahiro Kobayashi (51), a field guide for Ishigaki Island SeaBeans who photographed the bird, was delighted, saying, "I went birdwatching to look for 'parting gifts' from the typhoon, and I discovered the Bronze Ibis." The Bronze Ibis has flown to Ishigaki Island.
