Russian teacher sentenced in absentia to 7 years in prison for telling pupils about Bucha massacre — Novaya Gazeta Europe
A Russian teacher from near Moscow has been found guilty of spreading “false information” about the Russian army and sentenced to seven years in prison in absentia, human rights NGO OVD-Info reported on Monday.
In April 2022, a Russian mother tongue and literature teacher was assigned to teach a “lesson of kindness” that was supposed to address “denazification.”
The Serpukhov City Court of Moscow province sentenced Natalia Taranushenko, a 66-year-old Russian language and literature teacher, to seven years in absentia on charges of spreading "feiks" about the Russian army, as reported by Mediasona with reference to the court's press service, and also forbade Taranushenko from working as a teacher for three years.
