The mother of a child enrolled in a primary school in Avignon (Vaucluse) filed a complaint for violence committed in a classroom by a teacher.
A teacher from a primary school in Avignon (Vaucluse) is suspected of having tied a student of CE2 to his chair for an entire afternoon. An investigation is opened and a support gathering is scheduled for Thursday in front of the academic inspection.
The events reported date back to 18 May. An administrative investigation has since been launched and the professor has been suspended in a conservatory capacity, says the Aix-Marseille Academy on Wednesday.
A judicial and administrative inquiry is underway, while a support rally is organised.
The mother accuses the teacher of using a jump rope to immobilize the turbulent student on her chair.
