The Lugo Local Police arrested on the afternoon of Monday, October 13, a 68-year-old man as an alleged perpetrator of an attempted murder offence, after assaulting his 36-year-old nephew with a knife in a house in the Santa María neighbourhood of Bóveda.
The arrested person is in the hospital waiting to be brought before the court, as he fainted after the event.
The victim prevented him from sticking his gun in his neck, but he was stabbed in the leg and arm. A local police officer gave him first aid and managed to stop the bleeding until the ambulance arrived.
