A sepsis survivor from Ashtead has completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for the UK Sepsis Trust.
Lizzie developed sepsis in 2022, a condition which claims the lives of five people an hour in the UK. She completed the 24-mile hike of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough in just 9 hours 28 minutes, raising over £1800. Lizzie says completing the hike “was the most amazing feeling.” “I finally felt like I was looking forwards instead of being stuck in my past experience.”
