It was created by former EastEnders star and Kingston resident, John Altman, otherwise known as Nasty Nick. He made the recording backstage at a concert in Kent in December 1967. The tape was expected to fetch between £1,000 and £2,000 when it went under the hammer at Ewbank’s in Send.
